She holds a Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D.) in Economics from Jawaharlal Nehru University (JNU), New Delhi, where she also earned her Master of Philosophy (MPhil) and Master’s degrees.
With a career marked by a commitment to advancing sustainable development, Dr. Jalal is a Global Reporting Initiative (GRI) Certified Professional and an ISO 14064 Lead Auditor, specializing in validation and verification. She is also certified in ESRS Reporting aligned with the Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD) and
professional credentials in Life Cycle Assessment (ISO 14040/44). Her expertise is further enriched by specialized training in data analytics and labor market analysis from prestigious institutions such as the International Labour Organization (ILO), the London School of Economics, and the United Nations Staff System College.
